Get ready to hunt for the hero of Côtes du Rhône – Grenache! Late-ripening and best-grown in warm regions, Grenache is surprisingly thin-skinned and light-coloured. But how is the influence of Southern France’s climate and soil imprinted on the grape? And how can we differentiate Grenache wines from other light-coloured single variety wines? In this workshop, wine educator and judge Anty Fung has gathered some great examples of Rhône Grenache and other varieties for a blind tasting challenge. Professional tasting tips and tricks will be explored.
