You will be offered Cabs from some reputable wineries for a blind tasting learning experience.

The course will begin with history of Napa Valley & Sonoma & terroir of its sub regions, followed with a blind tasting. Through step-by-step comparison of various elements by techniques such as WSET SAT / Deductive Tasting, you will need to identify the wines and defend your answers. Eventually, you would gain a much deeper understanding of the regions of California.

In this workshop and Californian Grape by Grape, you will learn about:

• Which soil types can help produce crisp and acidic wines?
• Why vineyards on steep slopes are more likely to produce more concentrated grapes?
• What are the characteristics of cool and warm climate wines?
• How the aspects of vineyards can affect grape growing conditions?
