With nearly 20 years of experience in the hospitality industry, Derek has cultivated a profound understanding of global wine trends and professional knowledge in the food and beverage field. Despite the wide recognition he received across the industry, Derek never stopped learning, in hopes of sharing interesting stories behind the wines and exploring the beauty of wine and food pairing with the guests. Derek was awarded as the Best Sommelier in Greater China 2015 by Sopexa Hong Kong and he is a holder of both Wine and Spirit Education Trust (W.S.E.T) Level 4 Diploma in Wines and Spirits and Advance Sommelier issued by the Court of Master Sommeliers (CMS).
