Two Moons, one of the first gin distilleries in Hong Kong, is excited to welcome our students. You will have the opportunity to see firsthand the various equipment used in the production process. Meet the distillers and discover how different production methods influence gin styles. This 1.5-hour tour is a unique and essential experience for students!

WSET Level 2 Award in Spirits

Dive deeper into production methods and the principal raw materials. Learn about the principles of serving spirits, and how to use them in cocktails. This is a course for the enthusiasts and industry people alike.

• How production methods affect the characteristics of spirits and liqueurs
• The characteristics of the principal international spirits and liqueurs
• How to describe spirits using the WSET Level 2 Systematic Approach to Tasting Spirits® (SAT)

In 14 hours, you can build a solid foundation on spirits and liqueurs.

Eddie is a renowned spirits industry leader and Whisky & Gin Ambassador lead tutor for HK, Macau and China. He is Asia’s 1st Certified Spirits Educator accredited by the Society of Wine Educators, an International Spirits judge for IWSC and HKIWSC and an esteemed cocktail judge. Although known for his passion for all spirits, Eddie has a deep knowledge and understanding of both Scotch and world whiskies. Eddie’s commitment to education is invaluable to the industry and he is a mentor and inspiration to many aspiring bar professionals across Asia.

Prerequisite

Completion of WSET Level 1 Award in Spirits or equivalent recommended
All applicants must be over 18+

WSET Level 2 Award in Spirits Specification

Examination

• 50 multiple-choice questions
• Score of 55% is required to get a pass

Remarks on Distillery Tour:

• Distillery location: Chai Wan, Hong Kong;
• Date to be confirmed after course commence;
• No additional fee for the visit, but participants need to arrange own transport to the distillery;
• The experience is led by Two Moons Distillery, WSET course tutor may not be present in the tour.
