AdVini Debuts its Legends of the Land China Tour in Hong Kong Immersion Day
With 60+ World’s Terroir Wines of 10 Estates Presented by Debra Meiburg MW

Some of the world’s great terroirs were brought to the forefront in Hong Kong today, as AdVini – the leader in terroir wines from France – presented “Legends of the Land – Hong Kong Immersion Day”, showcasing wines from 10 revered estates, via a series of three events, hosted by Master of Wine Debra Meiburg, wineries representatives and revered winemakers from France and South Africa.
Legends of the Land – Hong Kong Immersion Day
With the theme of Legends of the Land, the events in Hong Kong, followed by the Immersion Day in Shanghai, cemented AdVini’s positioning in the prestige market, and marked a grand introduction for the company as a grand family of wineries. Hong Kong’s wine trade, media, sommeliers and opinion leaders were treated to three distinct events including an exclusive luncheon, a masterclass and a showcase tasting event, at the Mandarin Oriental Hong Kong.
Having international presence in 106+ countries, the company has developed and built its reputation on the strength of the quality of its wines and appellations around a unique geographic diversity. Its portfolio features over 2333 hectares of vineyards in France and in South Africa, with 30 Domains and Chateaux. Each wine estate carries a strong local or regional identity.
Exclusive Media Luncheon
Opening the proceedings, the exclusive media luncheon saw seven distinctive wines curated for a specially-designed menu, which was also paired with a fine wine buffet. Hosted by Jean-Pierre Durrand, Strategic Marketing and Communication Director, AdVini, and Debra Meiburg MW, an exclusive group of media and opinion leaders attended the lunch, which featured wines from Ken Forrester, Maison Ogier, Château Gassier, Domaine Laroche, Vignobles Jeanjean, Antoine Moueix Properties, and Domaine Cazes.
Magnify the Terroir – Masterclass
Following this, a masterclass invited attendees to “live the terroir” with a guided tasting of 8 wines, presented by Master of Wine Debra Meiburg and the winemakers themselves.
Jean-Pierre Durand, Strategic Marketing and Communication Director, AdVini, said “The concept of Terroir is so complex that it doesn’t even have translation – it gathers several conce
pts in one word, in one grape berry, millions of years of the geological history of the vineyard plot, but also the winds, droughts or floods, freshness and heat, light and fog, and all the winegrowers actions to enclose in its wine the unicity of place and vintage.” All the wine estates of AdVini share a same philosophy – to magnify the terroir of origin, with nuances linked to the local history, steadfast practices performed by every winemakers, varieties picked throughout the centuries.
Tour de Terroir – Showcase Tasting
The Immersion Day was topped off with a showcase tasting, where 100+ wine professionals explored and discovered 10 distinctive wineries presenting “true to terroir” wines. The tasting offered Hong Kong’s top wine industry professionals the chance to taste and discuss each estate’s distinguished legacy direct with winery representatives.
Debra Meiburg MW said, “I was honoured to be invited to present at this distinguished event. It is not every day you have the chance to really explore such a premium collection of diverse wines that so authentically represent their respective terroir.
“Of course, Hong Kong has a deep and long-standing love affair with French wine. But exploring and comparing such renowned terroir to this level is certainly a fresh approach to and the chance to really appreciate each estate’s legacy, quality, and history all at once.”
